Interesting move by Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne to bring together the former Ministry for Training, Colleges and Universities – MTCU to you – with the province’s job training programs, to create a new Ministry for Advanced Education and Skills Development under Deputy Premier and former Treasury Board President Deb Matthews.

Linking education and skills development with the world of work and ‘real jobs’ is a Holy Grail for policy makers and politicians alike, but a road lined with booby traps for the unwary. Watch this space.
